Omar Celik, the spokesman of Justice and Development Party in Turkey, said that the Emirati-Israeli normalization agreement will not contribute to peace and stability in the region.
"We can not reach a conclusion from any solution without the participation of Palestine," Celik confirmed in a press release held at the party’s headquarters in Ankara.
He explained that the agreement contradicts the Arab Peace Initiative, which Saudi Arabia launched during the Arab League meeting in 2002.
"About which normalization they are talking? Normalization is usually done by taking steps from both sides, but we see the Israeli side continuing its aggression, which means the UAE supports this aggression," he followed.
In addition, he added that the agreement is not in the interest of the Palestinian people, pointing out that the Palestinians must, in the first place, be asked about their opinion about normalization.
US President Trump said Thursday that Israel and the UAE have entered into a “historic peace agreement” that will establish full diplomatic ties between the two countries.
