Abdul Hakim Hanini, a Hamas leader, said that threatening, raiding, and sabotaging the homes of "Al-Quds is our destination" electoral list candidates express the enemy’s security establishment mentality of arrogance.

"We affirm that the occupation's attempts to dissuade our Palestinian people and leaders from exercising their social and national role will fail and that the Palestinian political life through elite active personnel is the real response to the occupation's practices and procedures," Hanini added.

"We call for a comprehensive national stance that exposes the occupation's falsehood claims to democracy and human rights as it deprives the Palestinian people from exercising their political life and right to an independent sovereign state," he stressed.
