Artists mark Balfour Declaration anniversary

Artists from the Ummah Youth Center in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip inaugurated a large mural, in commemoration of the 104th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration and in solidarity with the prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons.

The participants held banners that read: “We will return despite all restrictions" and "We are rooted in this land.”

The center's executive director, Wajdi Azzam, reported to Safa, "This active participation is a clear message that the young do not forget."

Today marks the 104th anniversary of the fateful "Balfour Declaration", according to which Britain granted the right to the Jews to establish a national home for them in Palestine, based on the false saying "a land without a people for a people without a land."
