He stated that those returning from Gaza report an environment overwhelmed by garbage, sewage, and rubble, where people struggle daily against death, hunger, and disease.

In earlier remarks, Sigrid Kaag, the UN’s Senior Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs and Reconstruction in Gaza, described the situation as devastating, with civilians enduring unimaginable suffering amidst ongoing genocide.
