Gaza Under Fire: Israeli Strikes Continue Despite Ceasefire Announcement

Despite the ceasefire announcement in Gaza, Israeli attacks continue, with airstrikes and artillery hitting different areas, causing many casualties.

Deaths and Injuries

Since October 7, 2023, the assault has killed 46,788 people and injured 110,453, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Just before the ceasefire, Israeli forces carried out eight attacks on families:

    •    Jabalia: An airstrike on the Sultan family home killed nine people, including the mother, children, and grandchildren of journalist Amer Sultan.

    •    Khan Younis: Five people were killed in a strike on the Barakeh family home in Abasan al-Jadida.

Targeted Areas

    •    Nuseirat Refugee Camp: Block C and the Ghussain family home near Al-Huda Mosque were hit, causing many casualties.

    •    Jabalia: An airstrike near Al-Omari Mosque killed Salah Al-Barsh and others. Halabi Square was also shelled.

    •    Zaytoun Neighborhood: A shelter at Al-Falah School was attacked, killing four people and injuring others.

Use of Drones and Artillery

Israeli forces used drones like “quadcopters” and heavy artillery:

    •    A strike targeted the Abu Marshoud family home in Ard Al-Mufti.

    •    The Indonesian Hospital and Al-Omari Mosque in Jabalia were also hit.

Rescue Efforts Blocked

Israeli forces prevented ambulances from reaching the wounded due to heavy fire.

Civil defense teams found two bodies and several injured people at the Al-Barsh family home in Jabalia.

Ongoing Bombing Despite Ceasefire

Israeli attacks continue, hitting homes, infrastructure, and farms, worsening the humanitarian crisis and increasing casualties.
