"We Are the Flood… We Are the Day After": The Resistance’s Message and Its Implications

In a striking move during the ongoing prisoner exchange, Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas' military wing, displayed a banner reading "We Are the Flood… We Are the Day After" at the platform where Israeli detainees were handed over in central Gaza. Written in Arabic, Hebrew, and English, the phrase conveys strategic messages to both local and international audiences.

The term "Flood" references the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation of October 7, 2023, marking a shift in resistance strategy. It underscores that the operation was not an isolated event but part of a long-term plan to reshape regional poli
tical and military dynamics. Meanwhile, "the Day After" signals that the resistance is preparing for the next phase, whether through continued military engagement or political negotiations.

The banner sends a dual message: to Israel and the U.S., that the conflict is ongoing and the resistance remains in control of its initiatives, particularly in the prisoner exchange;to Palestinians and supporters, that the struggle is not temporary but an evolving liberation project with sustained objectives.

The timing is significant amid speculations about Gaza’s future and growing international debates on ceasefire terms. The resistance asserts it has not exhausted its options and is ready for all scenarios, whether negotiations or further escalation.

By linking the Al-Aqsa Flood military operation to concrete political gains, such as the release of Palestinian prisoners, the banner symbolizes that resistance efforts aim at tangible results

. It signals a commitment to shaping post-war realities while reinforcing Palestinian resilience and defiance against Israeli policies.نحن اليوم التالي.jpg
