SAFA — Two Palestinians, including a 15-year-old child, were shot and wounded by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) early Saturday during a raid on al-Amari refugee camp in al-Bireh, as Israeli raids, arrests and settler attacks intensified across the occupied West Bank.
Medical sources said the child was shot in the back with live ammunition, while a young Palestinian man was shot in the foot. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment.
During the raid on al-Amari camp, Israeli forces arrested Amir Shehab and Mohammed Khalaf. Another Palestinian was arrested during a raid on Beitunia, west of Ramallah.
Israeli forces also closed the western entrance to al-Mughayyir and fired tear gas at Palestinian vehicles, while detaining several shepherds in the area.
In Jenin, Israeli forces arrested two Palestinians during a raid on Sanur, south of the city, and searched several homes.
Israeli raids also targeted Qalandia refugee camp and al-Qubeiba, north of occupied Jerusalem, as well as Bruqin, west of Salfit; Beit Dajan, east of Nablus; and the city of Jericho.
Settler Attacks Target Palestinians and Property
Israeli settler attacks were also reported across several parts of the occupied West Bank, targeting Palestinians, vehicles, agricultural land, trees, livestock and other property.
In Qusra, south of Nablus, three Palestinian homes remained under siege for the 21st consecutive day amid an Israeli military presence in the area.
In al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, three Palestinians were injured, including one who was shot with live ammunition, during an attack involving Israeli settlers and forces.
Settlers also attacked Palestinian vehicles at the village’s western entrance while Israeli forces were present and stole several sheep from a home before residents managed to recover them.
In Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, settlers cut through fences surrounding Palestinian farms and homes in Khirbet Khallet al-Hommos and released livestock around residents’ homes.
They also entered areas surrounding Palestinian homes in Khirbet al-Kharaba and tampered with fencing around land planted with olive trees.
In Khirbet Farsin, southwest of Jenin, settlers cut down around 450 fruit-bearing guava trees.
Settlers also entered the Jabal Rashniya area in Deir Abu Mash’al and targeted agricultural land in Barqa, near Ramallah.
In Beit Furik, east of Nablus, settlers entered the eastern part of the town and prevented Palestinians from reaching the al-Wali and al-Hajj Hussein mosques in the Tana al-Fawqa area. Settlers also entered Khirbet al-Marajim, between al-Mughayyir and Duma.
In the Hebron governorate, settlers set fire to agricultural land in Wadi Sa’ir, north of Hebron.
Separately, settlers raised Israeli flags in streets and on homes in the Bir Quza area of Beita, south of Nablus.
The incidents come amid intensified Israeli raids and settler attacks across the occupied West Bank, including assaults on Palestinians, arrests, restrictions on movement and attacks on homes, agricultural land and other property.
