Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that no one can push Palestinians toward a new displacement disaster, emphasizing that Israel must return the homes, lands, and workplaces it has seized from Palestinians.
He criticized Israel for the $100 billion in destruction caused in Gaza and called for compensation from the Israeli government, stressing that the reconstruction of Gaza should begin immediately.
Erdogan also highlighted the brutality of Israel's actions in Gaza, describing it as one of the most savage genocides of the last century, but praised Palestinian resistance for preventing Israel from achieving its objectives. He dismissed proposals to expel Palestinians from their land as unrealistic.
The Turkish president also called for a new global system to address issues of justice, peace, and development, arguing that the current United Nations system is unjust as it does not represent the Islamic world. He emphasized that peace cannot be achieved where justice is ignored for brutal interests.
In response to comments by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding the establishment of a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia, Erdogan reaffirmed his commitment to Palestinian rights and rejected any attempt to displace Palestinians to other countries. This came amid ongoing regional and international opposition to plans for the forced relocation of Gaza Palestinians.
