The United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, said, "The ceasefire in Gaza is fragile and we must avoid the renewal of hostilities at all costs."

Guterres added in a press statement, "The time has come for a permanent ceasefire, the release of all prisoners, and irreversible progress towards a two-state solution."

The UN Secretary-General also expressed his concern over the escalation of violence in the West Bank at the hands of settlers, as well as the violations and calls for annexation.
