Global Outcry Over Killing of Al Jazeera Journalists in Gaza

Protests have erupted across several cities after the killing of Al Jazeera correspondent Anas al-Sharif and five of his colleagues in Gaza, highlighting what demonstrators say is the deliberate targeting of Palestinian journalists.

In Germany, activists rallied outside the offices of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, accusing the newspaper of echoing Israeli narratives. In Malmö, Sweden, protesters held a solidarity vigil for al-Sharif, Mohammad Qreiqeh, Ibrahim Zaher, Moamen Aliwa, Mohammad Nofal and Mohammad al-Khalidi, all killed while reporting under fire. In Tunis, crowds condemned Israel’s attacks on the press and demanded accountability for crimes against journalists.

The protests echo a growing international outrage, as press freedom groups warn that the systematic targeting of Palestinian reporters is not only silencing voices on the ground but also erasing the truth of Gaza’s suffering.
