Israeli forces launched sweeping raids across the occupied West Bank early Wednesday, arresting at least eleven Palestinians, among them teenagers and former prisoners. Homes were stormed, properties ransacked, and entire areas sealed off with checkpoints and barriers.
In Nablus, twin brothers Nasr and Nasser al-Shaer were detained alongside former prisoner Ayyam Aqel, while in Qalqilya several others were seized following night raids, including Mahmoud and Jamal Titan. In Hebron, soldiers arrested 17-year-old Abdullah Abu Ayyash and former prisoner Qassam Halaika, briefly detaining his father before releasing him. Further raids were reported in Tulkarm, Bethlehem and occupied Jerusalem.
These arrests form part of daily Israeli raids that have turned West Bank towns into military zones. According to rights groups, around 10,800 Palestinians are currently held in Israeli prisons, the highest number since the Second Intifada, including 49 women, more than 450 children, and over 3,600 held without charge under administrative detention.
For Palestinians, these night raids are not isolated incidents but a relentless campaign of repression that seeks to suffocate daily life, leaving families torn apart and communities living under constant fear.
