The leader of Yemen’s Ansarallah resistance movement, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, has warned Israel against military intervention if it resumes attacks on Gaza. In a televised speech on February 27 from Sanaa, al-Houthi stated that Tel Aviv, a major economic hub in occupied Palestine, would be a primary target for Yemeni retaliatory operations. “If war resumes in Gaza, Yemen will intervene militarily and target all occupied territories, with Tel Aviv as a key focus,” he declared.
Al-Houthi accused Israel of violating the Gaza ceasefire agreement, relying on US support to evade its obligations. He condemned Israel’s refusal to withdraw troops from the Philadelphi Corridor and the Rafah border crossing, calling it a blatant breach of the truce terms and a serious threat to Palestinians and Egyptians alike.
Reaffirming Yemen’s unwavering support for Palestine and resistance groups, al-Houthi also expressed solidarity with Lebanon and Hezbollah, denouncing Israel’s ongoing attacks and occupation of Lebanese territory. He warned Israel to cease its aggression, urging Zionists and their allies to correct their misguided policies.
Al-Houthi praised the massive turnout at the funerals of Hezbollah leaders in Beirut, highlighting Lebanon’s commitment to resistance. He emphasized that the sacrifices of Palestinian and Lebanese fighters strengthen the resolve of the Axis of Resistance to continue the struggle against Israel.
