How Israel Violated the Gaza Agreement from the Moment It Was Signed

Since the Gaza ceasefire agreement was signed on January 19, 2025, Israel has committed 962 violations, including killing 98 Palestinians and injuring 490 others. These breaches involved airstrikes, land leveling, home demolitions, and tank incursions, with 32 Palestinians killed within the first two hours of the agreement taking effect.

Israel failed to meet its humanitarian commitments, allowing only 46.5% of the agreed fuel supply and 132,000 tents out of 200,000. Heavy equipment for rubble clearance was restricted to 9 machines, while construction materials, medical supplies, and livestock were banned, crippling Gaza’s recovery efforts.

The Rafah border crossing remained closed to civilians, and dozens of patients approved for travel were turned back. Israel also refused to withdraw from the Philadelphia Corridor, deepening its incursions instead of scaling back as agreed.

In the prisoner exchange, Israel delayed releases by two to six hours and withheld the final batch of 600 prisoners for five days. Released Palestinians were forced to wear clothing with Nazi symbols, and Israel unilaterally substituted 56 prisoners, violating the agreed terms. These actions highlight Israel’s systematic disregard for the ceasefire agreement.
