UN human rights experts have issued a stark warning, accusing Israel of using starvation as a weapon against Palestinians in Gaza by blocking humanitarian aid and essential supplies. This move violates the ceasefire agreement and deepens the humanitarian crisis in the besieged territory.
The experts condemned Israel's decision to halt aid, stating it exacerbates the suffering of hundreds of thousands, including vulnerable groups like children and the elderly. With 80% of agricultural land and critical infrastructure destroyed, Gaza is on the verge of collapse.
The report also highlighted Israel's systematic oppression across occupied territories, including land annexation in the West Bank and attacks on refugee camps. Since the ceasefire began, Israeli forces have killed at least 100 Palestinians in Gaza, raising the total death toll to over 48,400.
The experts called on mediators—Egypt, Qatar, and the US—to enforce the ceasefire and ensure Israel complies with international law. They urged global action to prevent further catastrophe, warning that the crisis threatens not only Gaza but also global peace and stability.
