Dozens of British MPs and Lords have taken a bold stand, demanding an independent and transparent investigation into the UK’s role in the ongoing genocide in Gaza. With over 33,000 Palestinians killed—most of them women and children—the pressure is mounting on the British government to answer serious allegations of complicity in war crimes.
Spearheaded by former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, the letter has gathered signatures from across the political spectrum: Labour, the Scottish National Party, the Greens, Sinn Féin, Plaid Cymru, and independents. Together, they are calling for full accountability over Britain's arms exports to Israel, intelligence-sharing, and the reported use of Royal Air Force bases in support of Israeli operations.
The signatories argue that such support may amount to a breach of international law. They have called for a public investigation with full legal authority—not only to expose the truth but to ensure justice for the victims. Their demand also urges current and former ministers from both Conservative and Labour governments to cooperate fully.
Writing on social media, Corbyn affirmed: “This will not be forgotten. We will keep fighting until justice is done.”
As Gaza continues to suffer under siege, the call from British lawmakers sends a powerful message: silence in the face of genocide is complicity. And justice, though delayed, must be delivered.
