The Permanent Obsever of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, Ambassador Riyad Mansour, said that not holding Israel, the occupying power, into account from direct attacks against civilians, including children, has become more frequent and shocking, even during the Coronavirus.
Ambassador Mansour sent three identical messages to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council for this month from South Africa, and the President of the United Nations General Assembly, regarding the crimes that Israel, the occupying Power, continues to commit against the Palestinian people.
Mansour emphasized that extrajudicial killings have become a systematic practice of the occupation, amounting to war crimes against the Palestinian people under occupation.

He pointed out that the Israeli forces killed Ali Abu Alia (13 years old) in Mughayir village near Ramallah on December 4.
Meanwhile, he stressed that there is absolutely no justification for such excessive use of force against civilians, in particular against children, indicating that Abu Alya is the fifth child to be killed by Israeli bullets this year.
He condemns Israel’s continued building and expansion of illegal settlements in the Occupied State of Palestine, including East Jerusalem, since it violates the Fourth Geneva Convention's prohibition of transferring civilian populations to the occupied territories, has become deeply rooted in the comprehensive annexation plans for "Israel."
He called on the international community to condemn all these practices aimed at changing the demographic composition and status of the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, including Jerusalem, according to what was affirmed in Security Council Resolution 2334.
