The Palestine Media Forum strongly condemned the insistence of the United Arab Emirates Public Media Services Company, "Abu Dhabi Media", to continue its media normalization with Israel.
The forum said in a statement, a copy of which obtained by SAFA, that the company had signed a media cooperation agreement with the Jaffa-based Israeli "i24NEWS" channel to define the frameworks for bilateral cooperation in the field of news, current issues, reports, and content production.
It considered the cooperation as a stab in the back of the Palestinian people and reflects the extent of abandonment of the values and constants of the Arab and Islamic nation.
"The agreement represents a free service to whitewash Israeli crimes, and give up the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian people's right to freedom and independence," it highlighted.
The Union of Arab Journalists stressed the need for taking a decisive stand towards the Abu Dhabi Media Company’s involvement in normalization with Israel.
The Palestine Media Forum called on the Arab media to firmly confront the attempts at media normalization with Israel, and rally the Arab and Islamic masses to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their just rights.
It also urged the Emirati people and the masses of the Arab and Islamic nation to boycott the Abu Dhabi Media Company and to pressure them to withdraw from the shameful agreement with the Israeli "i24NEWS" channel.
