In a sweeping act of destruction, Israeli occupation forces demolished 106 Palestinian homes in Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps on Tuesday, deepening a months-long military campaign marked by violence, displacement, and devastation.
Bulldozers flattened residential buildings, including 15 homes in Nur Shams camp alone. Local governor Abdullah Kamil condemned the demolitions as acts of cruelty intended not for security, but to terrorise and uproot civilians. "This is forced displacement under military guise," he said.
Residents recount how Israeli forces distributed maps in advance, marking entire neighbourhoods for demolition under vague "military" justifications. In Al-Manshiya, multi-storey buildings were razed, while others were seized and turned into military outposts after forcibly evicting their occupants.
The figures are staggering. More than 25,000 people—around 4,200 families—have been displaced. Nearly 400 homes have been destroyed, with thousands more damaged. Thirteen Palestinians have been killed, including a child and two women, one of them eight months pregnant.
What is unfolding in Tulkarm and Nur Shams, rights groups warn, is a deliberate policy of collective punishment. International law is being trampled under tanks and rubble, as military might is unleashed on vulnerable refugee communities with impunity.
