UNRWA: Over 66,000 Gaza Children Severely Malnourished Amid Starvation Siege

The UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has issued a grave warning: more than 66,000 children in Gaza are suffering from severe malnutrition due to Israel’s ongoing starvation policy, enforced through the closure of all crossings and the systematic obstruction of humanitarian aid for over two months.

UNRWA spokesperson Adnan Abu Hasna stated on Tuesday that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are now surviving on just one meal every two or three days. Since March 2, no food, medicine, fuel, or essential goods have been allowed into Gaza, accelerating the collapse of the already fragile humanitarian situation.

Gaza’s Ministry of Health has confirmed at least 57 deaths due to malnutrition, a figure expected to rise rapidly unless aid is immediately allowed in. UN and Palestinian officials continue to sound the alarm, warning that the prolonged blockade is not only starving Gaza—it is transforming an entire population into victims of a slow, deliberate death.
