The United Nations General Assembly adopted by an overwhelming majority 6 resolutions related to the Palestinian issue, on Thursday evening.
The decision to provide assistance to Palestinian refugees won the support of 169 countries, against the objection of two countries (Israel and the United States), and the abstention of 7 countries (Cameroon, Canada, Kiribati, Madagascar, the Marshall Islands, Nauru, and Palau).
The second resolution on the operations of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees UNRWA won a majority of 162 states, and 4 countries objected (Canada, Israel, the Marshall Islands, and the United States), and 9 countries abstained (Australia, Cameroon, Guatemala, Kiribati, Madagascar, Malawi, and the islands Marshal, Nauru, and Solomon Islands).
The third resolution on the properties of Palestinian refugees and the revenues from them won the support of 160 countries and the opposition of 5 countries (Canada, Israel, Marshall Islands, Nauru, and the United States), and 12 abstentions.
The fourth concerns the Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem and the occupied Syrian Golan, with the support of 150 countries and the objection of 7 countries (Canada, Hungary, Israel, Liberia, the Marshall Islands, Nauru, and the United States), and 17 countries abstaining from voting.
The fifth resolution on Israeli practices affecting the human rights of the Palestinian people in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, won a majority of 147 states and the objection of 10 countries (Australia, Canada, Guatemala, Hungary, Israel, Liberia, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Guinea, Papua, and United States), with 16 abstentions.
The sixth resolution on the work of the Special Committee on Investigating Israeli Practices Affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arab Population in the Occupied Territories won the support of 76 states, the opposition of 14 states, and 83 abstentions.
