In the space of just one day, the Israeli occupation has carried out four devastating attacks in the Gaza Strip, targeting two schools filled with displaced families, a bustling market, and a popular restaurant. These assaults have left dozens of Palestinians dead and many more wounded, adding to an already harrowing toll in a besieged land where nowhere is safe.
The latest strike hit a crowded restaurant where families had gathered, hoping for a moment of relief amidst the chaos. Just hours earlier, two UN-designated schools sheltering over 10,000 displaced Palestinians were bombed, turning what should have been safe havens into scenes of carnage. A market full of civilians seeking food and supplies also came under fire, underscoring the brutal pattern of attacks on places of daily life.
This is not an isolated event. Since the beginning of the war, 235 shelters have been bombed. The pattern is clear: the repeated targeting of schools, markets, and shelters reflects an intent to maximise civilian casualties and instil terror among a population already battered by months of displacement and starvation.
The international community has largely remained silent, while Gaza’s civilians continue to pay the price. These massacres are not collateral damage—they are calculated acts within a campaign that Palestinians view as nothing less than genocide. Calls are once again being made for international accountability, but for now, Gaza bleeds with little more than condemnation to shield it.
