International newspapers are increasingly highlighting Israel’s deliberate obstruction of food aid to Gaza, as famine tightens its grip on the besieged population. Despite alarming warnings from humanitarian groups, Israeli officials continue to deny the existence of famine and are pushing for even stricter restrictions on aid entry.
The Intercept described Israel’s approach as a calculated starvation policy, implemented in full awareness of its deadly consequences. The New York Times warned that Israel’s expanding military operations are worsening the already dire humanitarian crisis for displaced Palestinians.
In Britain, The Guardian questioned the country’s continued export of military equipment to Israel despite stated bans, raising serious concerns over the UK's complicity in potential violations of international law.
Meanwhile, Haaretz warned of the economic cost of Israel’s prolonged war in Gaza, stating that the burden is falling on ordinary Israelis. And Ma’ariv noted a growing rift between Washington and Tel Aviv, after the U.S. moved unilaterally on regional issues—signalling a breakdown in trust.
As Gaza’s children starve and its cities crumble, the international press is no longer silent. The question remains: will governments follow?
