UNRWA Sounds Alarm as Gaza Faces Starvation Amid Relentless Siege

Palestinians in Gaza are now enduring a famine that aid workers say is no longer a looming threat but a present reality. After 19 months of relentless bombardment, displacement, and an airtight blockade, Gaza’s population is being starved into submission.

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, warns that aid is being deliberately obstructed. With crossings sealed and convoys stalled, families are left with nothing. Reports from the ground speak of people selling their last possessions for scraps of food, some forced to eat animal feed to survive.

Over two million people are now in urgent need of assistance. Children are wasting away, hospitals are collapsing, and the siege continues unchecked. UNRWA officials say that without immediate international action, the world will have watched a famine unfold—and done nothing.
