Yemenis Fill Sana’a Streets in Defiance of Silence over Gaza

In a powerful show of solidarity, thousands of Yemenis flooded the streets of Sana’a to stand with the people of Gaza, demanding an end to the starvation and killing unfolding under Israel’s relentless assault. The demonstration was not just a political act, but a moral stance—echoing deep-rooted convictions against oppression and in support of justice for Palestine.

Chants against regional complicity rang out, with demonstrators criticising Arab governments for prioritising billion-dollar alliances with the West while Gaza starves. Amid banners and voices of defiance, the message was clear: Yemen’s support for Gaza is unwavering and rooted in faith, dignity, and shared struggle.

Speakers at the rally called for continued resistance and collective action, insisting that true solidarity must go beyond words. In the eyes of many, Yemen’s streets carried what the world’s leaders have failed to say: Gaza is not alone.
