From beneath the rubble and the roar of warplanes, the children of Gaza have raised their voices in a desperate appeal to Grand Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb of Al-Azhar, pleading with him to speak out against the Israeli-imposed siege and awaken the conscience of the Muslim world.
In a heart-wrenching message, they wrote: “This war devours our innocence and steals our dreams. We fear hunger more than we fear bombs.” Their words carry the weight of destroyed homes, lost parents, and dreams shattered under blockade and fire.
They implored the Grand Imam to rally the Muslim Ummah, to urge Egypt to open its gates, and to call on world leaders to act. “Do not leave us alone to face this dark fate,” they pleaded. “Let your voice open the gates of hope.”
While their cries echo in desperation, the Israeli military continues its relentless assault. More than 950 children have been killed in Gaza in just two months, according to UN reports, with thousands more wounded, orphaned, or starving. UNICEF warns that Gaza's children are enduring daily violations of their most basic rights, as bombs fall and aid is blocked.
Their message is not just a cry for help, it is a call for moral courage.
