A Palestinian researcher wins the FASRC Award 2020

The Palestinian researcher, Mohammed Burqan, gained the first rank in the 2020 Award of Federation of Arab Scientific Research Council, in the field of water harvest.

In one of the regular meetings of the federation of scientific research, held by the league of Arab States in Sudan, Mohammed Burqan, from the faculty of engineering and information technology in the Arab American university, was announced as the winner of the Award. His research was titled: Use of running rainwater in the internal parts of Gaza valley using Geographic Information System methodology.

The federation, through the meetings held via video conference, emphasized the leading role played by Palestine and the importance of scientific research services, and expressed its willingness to cooperate with the parties concerned to provide the needed support to Palestine.  

The meeting discussed many issues related to the reports of the Secretary-General, specialized scientific linkages, scientific publishing, business plan and strategy of 2021, and the awards of the federation of scientific research for the next year.
