Gaza’s Aid Zones Turn Deadly: 580 Killed While Seeking Relief Under Blockade

At least 580 Palestinians have been killed and over 4,200 wounded near aid distribution points in Gaza since 27 May, according to the Gaza Government Media Office. These areas, now described as “death trap zones”, have come under repeated Israeli fire, despite being designated for humanitarian relief.

The victims, the office stated, were all civilians desperately searching for food and aid amid the suffocating blockade. The ongoing targeting of these zones, it warned, is not random but part of a broader strategy of collective punishment that amounts to genocide.

Blaming the Israeli military and its international allies, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, the office accused them of complicity in the unfolding humanitarian disaster.

The statement called on the global community to demand the opening of border crossings and the immediate lifting of the blockade. Without urgent action, it warned, Gaza faces an even deeper descent into catastrophe.
