Gaza Families Trapped and Bombed as Aid Workers Struggle to Survive

Thousands of Palestinian families are now crammed into the last fragments of Gaza, squeezed into less than a fifth of the territory amid relentless bombardment and the collapse of essential infrastructure. The UN has warned that civilians are being shelled even in displacement camps, where they search desperately for food.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported a rapid and catastrophic decline in Gaza’s humanitarian conditions. Tents, makeshift shelters, and aid convoys are under fire. Civilians are being killed not only in their homes, but while queuing for bread.

Even aid workers, often the last thread of hope, are facing hunger and exhaustion. Their own survival is now in question, threatening the continuity of life-saving support for millions.

Hospitals are under repeated attack, with clinics destroyed and medication running out. Gaza’s health system, already in ruins, is nearing total collapse. Patients lie helpless, unable to receive the care that could save their lives.

The UN has again called on the international community to uphold international law, protect civilians and medical workers, and ensure humanitarian access. But for those still trapped beneath falling bombs, words alone are not enough.
