Starvation and Bombs as Policy: Gaza Faces Genocide Under Global Silence

As the rubble deepens and hunger spreads, Palestinians in Gaza are not merely dying , they are being erased. According to Dr. Rami Abdu, head of the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor, Israel is systematically committing genocide, pushing Gaza’s population towards forced displacement under the guise of military operations and “humanitarian zones.”

Dr. Abdu denounced recent U.S. sanctions on UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese as a continuation of efforts to silence those who expose Israeli crimes. Her collaboration with the International Criminal Court, he said, is treated as a threat precisely because it seeks accountability where powerful governments prefer impunity.

On the ground, Gaza is collapsing by design. Cities like Rafah and Khan Younis are almost entirely levelled. Northern Gaza is emptied through bombs and fear. Food sources, markets, wells, farmland, have been obliterated. Hospitals and universities lie in ruins. The aim, Abdu says, is not security but starvation, control, and eventual displacement.

The destruction of Gaza’s foundations is neither incidental nor accidental. Surveillance drones hover as bombs strike from land, sea, and air, ensuring no place is safe. The Israeli leadership has made its intentions clear, and the world’s silence has become complicity.

This is not a war, it is a plan. A deliberate policy to make Gaza uninhabitable, to force its people from their land, and to crush a nation under the weight of siege and steel. According to Abdu, this fits every definition of genocide under international law. The question is no longer whether the crime is happening, but whether the world will act before it is too late.
