European-Made Missiles Kill 100 Children in Gaza, Reveals The Guardian

An investigation by The Guardian has revealed that missiles manufactured by MBDA, a European arms company, were used in at least 24 Israeli strikes on Gaza between January and May 2024, resulting in the deaths of around 500 people, including at least 100 children.

The report sheds light on Europe's direct role in fuelling the ongoing genocide in Gaza, with Britain, France, and Germany identified among the key suppliers of weapons to the Israeli military. These weapons have been deployed in densely populated civilian areas, contributing to the large-scale killing and maiming of Palestinian children.

Over the course of nearly two years, Israel has repeatedly used internationally banned weaponry across the Gaza Strip, flattening entire neighbourhoods and wiping out critical infrastructure. According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, 16,503 children have been killed since the start of the war, an average of 27 children per day, as cited by UNICEF.

UNICEF has called on Israel to review its rules of engagement, urging full adherence to international humanitarian law and demanding independent investigations into what it describes as widespread violations. The scale of child deaths is staggering: 916 infants under one year old, 4,365 children aged one to five, 6,101 children aged six to twelve, and 5,124 aged thirteen to seventeen have been killed by Israeli airstrikes.

As European nations continue to sell weapons to Israel, calls are growing louder for accountability and an immediate end to the war machine devastating Gaza’s youngest generation.
