Gaza Faces Death by Hunger as Famine Engulfs Entire Population

Gaza’s Ministry of Health has sounded the alarm on what it calls an “unfolding mass extermination,” as famine tightens its grip on over two million people. After more than 140 days without sustained humanitarian access, food and medicine have all but vanished. Infants are dying, hospitals are collapsing, and aid convoys are being targeted before they arrive.

The situation is dire beyond measure: over 600,000 children under ten are now at risk of death from hunger. At least 71 children have already died from malnutrition, and the figures are climbing. Tens of thousands of infants have no access to formula. Pregnant women are starving. Gaza, long under siege, is now being starved into silence.

This is not a failure of logistics. The Ministry accuses Israel of waging a war not only through bombs but through enforced starvation, a methodical effort to extinguish life by cutting off every source of survival. Nearly 1,000 people have been killed and thousands more injured while trying to reach food distribution points, many of which have been deliberately bombed. What should have been lifelines have turned into death zones.

Hospitals, already overwhelmed and stripped of supplies, can no longer save the lives of the sick and injured. Patients with chronic diseases are dying in silence, unable to access the most basic treatment. Gaza's entire healthcare system is collapsing in real time.

In a final plea, the Health Ministry called on the international community to act, not tomorrow, but now. Each hour of delay costs more lives. Gaza is not starving by accident. It is being starved by design.
