In the past three weeks alone, Israeli forces have detonated more than 80 booby-trapped robots inside densely populated neighbourhoods of Gaza City and its outskirts. The explosions have torn through residential areas, flattening homes, crippling vital infrastructure, and leaving behind casualties, most of them women and children.

The deployment of such devices in crowded civilian districts has been described as a deliberate act of mass killing, combining fear with destruction to force people from their homes. It marks yet another escalation in a scorched-earth campaign that has reduced much of Gaza to rubble, while those who remain endure the horrors of hunger, bombardment, and siege.

At the same time, more than a million people in Gaza City and the north continue to be cut off from food, water, and medicine, enduring what has become a systematic policy of starvation. Hundreds have already died from hunger and lack of care, including many children, as hospitals and essential facilities collapse. Yet despite the devastation, countless families refuse to abandon their homes, standing firm in defiance of a war machine that seeks both their destruction and their displacement.
