“Normalization aims at securing the Israeli entity, forcing Arab migration, and leading to division and internal strife in the Arab world, and what has happened of normalizing relations with Israel is a confirmation of political and geographical facts that are intended to continue in the future,” Ismail Haniyeh, the senior political leader of Hamas, said.

"The American policy, during the last period, has rearranged the array of enemies and friends in the region according to its vision, and it forced some parties to deal with this vision," Haniyeh added, on Monday evening, in a conference broadcast by Al-Jazeera channel.

We do not accept the normalization of any Arab country with Israel, and we demand it to return from this sin, and Hamas does not change its conflict to be with any Arab country instead of Israel, even though we consider normalization to be a political sin.

In addiotion, we do not bet on the successive US administrations, but we have to read things politically and realize that the variables can be useful in favor of our Palestinian issue.

Haniyeh added, "We analyzed the new scene in the US administration’s policy and the occupation’s handling of annexation and normalization and we found that we are obligated to draw up a plan with several axes, the most important of which is the unification of the Palestinian people to face the plans of annexation, Trump Peace Plan, and normalization.”

American and Israeli challenges

“There is a challenge represented by the American administration’s attempt to fragment the Arab world and make it lose the elements of resistance in all fields and try to build a security alliance in which Israel prevails within its military, security, and economic superiority,” Haniyeh stressed.

He pointed out that the Israeli policies of continuing settlements and the issue of annexation, targeting the city of Jerusalem and the people of the 48, canceling the right of return, continuing the siege on the Gaza Strip, and demonizing the resistance in the view of some Arab regimes are a huge chllenges.

We need to build an integrated national strategy to rearrange the Palestinian house building and a real national partnership at several levels through the Palestine Liberation Organization.

We were on the path of reconciliation, sticking to the election, simultaneously, because we were interested in restoring the role of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

These plans can not be faced without an inclusive Palestinian leadership. Hamas took the initiative to speak with the Palestinian leaders and made personal calls with President Abbas, and our message was clear that our issue is at stake.

Hamas has made serious dialogues in multiple capitals for to reach the arrangement of the Palestinian house and rise again to the PLO, end the division, and make an agreement on a struggle strategy to confront the occupation.

Hamas’s adherence to the option of resistance that it has practiced over the past decades is the option that will restore consideration to the Palestinian issue.

Bet on negotiations

Haniyeh warned that the Palestinian Authority is betting on the change that happened in the White House, and it believes that it will revive the settlement and negotiations process.

The bet is not in appropriate, and, surely, will loose. All those who follow the issue of the upcoming US administration say that it will devote itself to the internal American situation to deal with the brutal effects of Trump.

The American administration will be based on 3 basic elements with its foreign relations which are, the mutual sharing, the unity of measurement on the Palestinian issue, and the re-consideration of the reputation of the United States affected by Trump's policy, and a return to the basis of international consensus, and the Palestinian issue will not be a priority.

Realizing the extent of American action regarding the Palestinian issue is a necessity, and the Palestinian people should not be cheated with illusions and return to negotiations.

Haniyeh called for a bet on the Palestinians and their unity and resistance. He said, we agree to have relations with all countries of the world except for the Israeli occupation.

The Oslo Accords track

Oslo Accords and the negotiations, in the end, were a disaster for the Palestinians.

Oslo Accords cannot constitute a political basis for any future Palestinian understandings as the real results for it represent political disasters, and this stage should be passed and build a new strategy totally irrelevant to Oslo Accords.

Haniyeh called for an agreement away from Oslo Accords and security cooperation with Israel.

When Hamas saw that the Palestinian issue was going through a dangerous phase, it did not hesitate at all to take the initiative and be a strong weapon in the hand of any Palestinian who wants to face the occupation.

Support Hamas

Haniyeh added, "We do not compromise on these issues, and that does not mean that we distort our struggle with Israel, which aims to the internal strife in the Arab world.

The Israeli elections are taking place in internal circumstances in which there are many interactions and political conflict.

Although the Arab resistance countries and the Palestinian parties face great challenges,they still have the strength and ability to influence when there is willingness to do something.

Hamas military drill

Haniyeh stressed that the “extreme corner” military drill which was held, on Tuesday, predicts the future and form of the Palestinians parties work in the future through the joint operations room.

Hamas has open relations with many countries and it represents a very important destination.

Openness policy

A strong struggle of wills in the Arab world represents a very big challenge, but Palestinians are armed with fortitude, wisdom, patience, and strength in the face of this challenge that the US administration is trying to impose on the region.

Palestine has relations with Egypt, which represents a great power, Iran, and its role in supporting the resistance as well, Turkey and Qatar. In addition, it has relations with the Arab Maghreb countries, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan and seeks to restore relations that have weakened.

Hamas adopt the policy of openness with all countries and we do not interfere in the internal affairs of them or Arab national security, which is a deep security in Palestine.

We cannot deny our nation’s role and strategic position in the conflict with the Israel and there is a difference between the independence of the decision and the openness to the components in the region.

Palestine relationship with Egypt, Iran, Qatar, and Turkey is fundamental and it restores the relationship with Saudi Arabia which represents an important position in the Islamic world.

Hamas detainees in Saudi Arabia

"We refused and was surprised by arresting Palestinian Hamas members in Saudi Arabia," Haniyeh said.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and officials in the Kingdom were called on to release the Palestinian detainees. It is not permissible for them to remain in prisons because they have a relationship with Hamas, which has not interfered with any internal affairs of any country.

Haniyeh welcomed the Gulf reconciliation, rearranging the Gulf house, restoring respect for this council, ending the blockade on Qatar, saying that “stopping the media bickering is a welcome thing, and we hope it will happen”.

He said that any reconciliations in the Arab world would ultimately benefit the Palestinian issue.

Any unity and any reconciliations reflected in the Arab community reflected on us, as well, immediately, and it is necessary for there to be a strategic dialogue between the Gulf countries, Iran, and the components of the region in order to redraw the geography features to face the challenges.

Decision-making in the Palestine Libation Organization

Hamas does not think of swallowing Palestine Libation Organization(PLO) and dominating its institutions. It is a liberation movement that realizes that Palestine is going through a national liberation phase, and this calls for the whole national to be in the decision-making process.

The PLO is the national home for everyone, and Hamas is entering the PLO not out of control over the decision, but on the basis of partnership and working on the same direction for the same goals.

“Why is the fear that Hamas and Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine will enter the framework of the Palestine Liberation Organization, and we were offered to be an alternative to it, and we refused that?” Haniyeh asked.

The breakdown of the Israeli security theory

Gaza War (2008-2009) marked the beginning of a break in the Israeli belief and theory of security, when the Hamas Islamic resistance was able to move the battle inside the occupied territories in 1948.

This battle proved the ability of Hamas to develop itself, and it was considered a launching pad for the accumulation of power, and this was clear in the wars that the Gaza Strip later witnessed.

Haniyeh also congratulated the Christians on their holidays, saying that they are partners in the homeland and we strive together to achieve our people's goals of freedom and independence.

"I lived with Christian brothers in prisons and there are so many prisoners and martyrs from them, and as one people we offer them our congratulations and blessings on the occasion of their holiday,” he added.
