Local associations organized a solidarity stand to support the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jails in front of the Red Cross Headquarter in Ramallah today.
Dozens of prisoner’s families and public figures participated in the stand rejecting the policies pursued by the Israeli authorities inside the prisons in which they refuse to vaccinate the prisoners against COVID 19.
Head of the High Follow-up Committee for Detainees and Ex-detainees, warned of not providing the prisoners with preventive kits in which the prison’s administration prevents the families from brining any kits to their sons inside the prisons throughout the international committee of the Red Cross or any human rights organizations.
Ameen Shoman emphasized on the policy of medical negligence pursued by Israeli authorities inside the prisons. Hence, number of COVID 19 cases keeps rising.
He called for highlighting the suffering of prisoners and what they face inside the prisons; torture, oppression and isolation.
He confirmed that what is happening is an aggressive Israeli policy escalated against the prisoners.
He emphasized on the importance of starting a popular movement locally and internationally since the number of cases infected with COVID19 among the prisoners reached more than 200.
