Amnesty International appealed Israel to provide the Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails in Gaza and West Bank with COVID19 vaccine.
This appeal came even though the Palestinian Authority did not demand any help from Israel.
“Israel has to stop neglecting its international duties as an occupying force, and has to provide the vaccine equally for the Palestinians living under its occupation in Gaza and West Bank,” Amnesty International stated.
Palestine’s Ministry of Health expects to have the first dozes of the vaccine next month throughout COVAX program, supported by the US, noting that they will be used to vaccinate the Palestinians in Gaza and West Bank.
Israel started vaccinating its citizens, including the settlers, in the West Bank on last December 19th.
