New Military Boundary Tightens Control as Gaza’s Space Shrinks Under Genocidal War

A newly imposed military boundary, referred to as the “Yellow Line”, is reshaping the geography of Gaza, further restricting movement and concentrating the population into increasingly confined areas. Emerging details suggest the line functions as a dividing barrier, separating heavily populated zones from expanding military-controlled territory, reinforcing patterns of control that have intensified throughout the genocidal war.

Recent observations indicate that extensive infrastructure is being constructed along this boundary, including fortified positions and barriers stretching across multiple parts of the enclave. Large swathes of land, including previously inhabited neighbourhoods and agricultural areas, now fall under direct military presence. The scale of this expansion points to a consolidation of territorial control, with more than half of Gaza reportedly falling within these restricted zones.

For civilians, the consequences are immediate and severe. With the majority of the population now confined to a fraction of the territory, overcrowding has worsened dramatically, while access to water, shelter, and essential services continues to deteriorate. Many are living in makeshift conditions, displaced from their homes and cut off from basic resources. Reports from the ground describe individuals being injured while attempting to access necessities near the boundary, underscoring the daily risks faced by those navigating an increasingly constrained environment during the genocidal war.
