Large crowds gathered across Yemen on Friday, with tens of thousands taking to the streets in the capital, Sana’a, and in several other provinces, in demonstrations expressing support for Palestine and Lebanon. The rallies were held under a unifying slogan emphasising shared struggle and solidarity, reflecting a wider regional sentiment shaped by the ongoing genocidal war.
The protests, which extended to cities including Saada, Hodeidah, Dhamar and Amran, followed a public call for mobilisation and drew participants carrying Palestinian, Lebanese and Yemeni flags. Chants voiced during the gatherings expressed support for resistance movements and opposition to Israeli policies, while reaffirming continued backing for the Palestinian cause.
Statements issued in conjunction with the demonstrations highlighted what was described as a firm and enduring position in defence of religious and regional interests, with particular reference to sites of significance such as Al-Aqsa Mosque. The messaging also stressed a broader alignment across different arenas, presenting the situation as interconnected and reinforcing the notion of collective mobilisation.
The declarations further underlined readiness for potential future developments, signalling that the demonstrations were not only symbolic but also part of a wider political stance shaped by recent regional escalations. Praise was also directed towards armed groups operating in southern Lebanon, reflecting a narrative of resistance that resonates strongly within these public displays.
