Fresh Civilian Deaths Reported as Strikes Continue Across Gaza

At least four Palestinians have been killed in a new wave of Israeli military strikes across the Gaza Strip, as violence persists despite a ceasefire that was meant to curb hostilities in the besieged territory. The latest incidents add to a steadily rising civilian toll amid what residents describe as near-daily attacks.

In central Gaza, an air strike near the village of al-Mughraqa killed one person on Sunday. Elsewhere, gunfire and tank shelling in areas close to Gaza City left two more dead. In a separate incident in the south, a 40-year-old woman was killed in Khan Younis, underscoring the continued impact on civilians across different parts of the enclave.

Officials in Gaza state that breaches of the October 2025 ceasefire have been frequent and wide-ranging, citing thousands of violations that include killings, arrests, blockade measures and policies contributing to severe deprivation. These developments have reportedly resulted in hundreds of additional deaths and injuries since the truce came into effect.

The cumulative toll from the genocidal war launched in October 2023 has now surpassed 72,500 fatalities, with more than 172,000 people injured, the majority of them women and children. Meanwhile, violence has also intensified in the occupied West Bank, where over a thousand Palestinians have been killed, thousands more wounded, and tens of thousands detained since that time.
