Health authorities in Gaza say two Palestinians were killed and 10 others injured over the past 24 hours, with casualties continuing to be reported despite the ceasefire announced in October 2025.
In a statement released on Tuesday, officials said the number of people killed since the truce came into effect on 11 October had reached 856, while more than 2,400 others had been injured. Authorities also said rescue teams had recovered hundreds of bodies from beneath rubble during that period.
The health ministry in Gaza said the overall number of Palestinians killed since the start of Israel’s genocidal war in October 2023 had risen to 72,742, with at least 172,565 wounded.
Officials added that a number of victims were still trapped under collapsed buildings or lying in areas inaccessible to emergency and civil defence crews, as large parts of Gaza remain heavily damaged.
Hospitals across the territory continue to face shortages of supplies and equipment, while many displaced families remain without permanent shelter months after the ceasefire was announced.
