Israeli Forces Intensify Destruction Across Gaza Despite Ceasefire Agreement

Israeli forces carried out a fresh wave of attacks and large-scale demolitions across the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, as Palestinians in several areas reported continued violations of the ceasefire agreement reached months ago to curb the genocidal war.

In southern Gaza, residents in eastern Khan Younis said Israeli troops demolished multiple residential buildings during coordinated military operations near the city’s outskirts. Warplanes were also seen flying over the area while strikes and heavy gunfire from military vehicles targeted nearby neighbourhoods, forcing civilians to remain indoors amid growing fears of renewed escalation.

Further north, eastern districts of Gaza City came under artillery fire and live ammunition attacks, according to local accounts. Shelling was also reported around Jabalia refugee camp, where repeated bombardment has already left widespread devastation during the genocidal war.

In central Gaza, military helicopters reportedly opened intense fire east of the refugee camps, adding to concerns that the ceasefire is steadily collapsing under continuous military activity. Residents across the enclave say insecurity and displacement persist despite diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing violence and allowing civilians a degree of stability.

The latest incidents add to a growing list of reported breaches since the truce was announced last October through mediation efforts involving Qatar and Egypt with backing from Washington. Palestinians in Gaza continue to warn that ongoing attacks and demolitions are undermining any prospect of lasting calm while much of the enclave remains in ruins.
