SAFA- Israeli occupation forces continued violating the Gaza ceasefire agreement on Friday, carrying out artillery shelling, heavy gunfire, and the demolition of residential buildings across the Gaza Strip.
A large explosion was heard in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, as Israeli forces continued excavation work and the demolition of homes in the Housh Abu Hussein and Al-Tawabin areas of the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, east of the city.
In central Gaza, Israeli military vehicles stationed southeast of Deir al-Balah opened fire, although no casualties were immediately reported.
In Khan Younis, southern Gaza, Israeli military vehicles intensified heavy gunfire northeast of the city. Israeli tanks also fired east of Khan Younis, with some rounds striking tents sheltering displaced families near the Al-Namsawi area west of the city.
Eastern Khan Younis came under Israeli artillery shelling, while similar strikes targeted eastern Gaza City as part of the ongoing Israeli military escalation across the Strip.
On Thursday, six Palestinians, including a woman and two children, were killed and more than 25 others were injured in Israeli shelling and gunfire across Gaza.
According to Gaza's Health Ministry, 1,214 Palestinians have been killed and 3,977 injured in reported ceasefire violations since the agreement took effect on Oct. 11, 2025. The ministry added that 804 bodies have also been recovered during the same period.
The ministry said the overall death toll from the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 73,341 Palestinians killed, with 174,086 others injured.
