SAFA- Two Palestinians were killed on Sunday afternoon in an Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle at the entrance of Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that the strike hit the vehicle near the hospital entrance, killing two people at the scene. Ambulance and civil defense teams rushed to the area to evacuate the victims and secure the location.

The attack comes amid an escalation of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip. According to local reports, more than 10 Palestinians have been killed since dawn as Israeli forces carried out a series of strikes targeting homes, vehicles, and civilian gatherings in different parts of the enclave, further worsening the humanitarian situation and increasing the civilian death toll.

Israel also continues to maintain its tight blockade on the Gaza Strip and has failed to fulfill commitments outlined in the ceasefire agreement that entered into force on October 10, 2025.

Palestinian figures show that 1,222 Palestinians have been killed and another 4,053 injured as a result of Israeli violations of the ceasefire.

On the humanitarian front, Israel continues to restrict the population by obstructing the opening of border crossings and limiting the entry of agreed quantities of food, relief supplies, and medical aid. Humanitarian organizations warn that these restrictions are exacerbating the suffering of Gaza's residents and deepening the territory's already severe humanitarian and health crisis.
