SAFA-  Gaza’s Government Media Office (GMO) said Tuesday that Israeli occupation forces are systematically targeting the foundations of life across the Gaza Strip, with water facilities among the critical infrastructure coming under attack.

The GMO also condemned continued Israeli attacks on civilians throughout Gaza, saying the IOF have targeted children, residential buildings, and places of worship despite the ongoing ceasefire.

GMO also accused the IOF of repeatedly violating the ceasefire agreement by targeting civilians and striking homes sheltering displaced and resident families.

The office held the Israeli occupation forces and the international community responsible for the “legal, moral, and historical” consequences of the continued genocide and the targeting of civilians, children, and mosques.

According to the office, more than 21,500 Palestinian children have been killed by Israeli attacks since the Israeli genocidal war began, highlighting the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.

The office also reported extensive damage to mosques across the territory, saying IOF had targeted 1,244 of Gaza's 1,275 mosques. It said 1,077 mosques had been completely destroyed.

The office condemned the ongoing Israeli violations against Palestinians and said residential areas and civilians continued to face attacks despite the ceasefire.

It urged ceasefire mediators to take “firm and practical” measures and increase pressure on IOF to stop the violations and fully implement the agreement.

The office also called for an immediate end to the Israeli genocidal war and urgent measures to protect Palestinian civilians, particularly children, as well as civilian infrastructure and places of worship.

The statement came after a series of Israeli attacks across Gaza on Monday that killed and wounded Palestinians, including children, according to Palestinian hospital sources.

 Israeli forces also issued new evacuation orders affecting areas in central Gaza.

Hospital sources said the death toll from Israeli gunfire and bombardment across the Gaza Strip since Monday morning had risen to eight Palestinians, including children.

Ambulance and civil defense crews continued search-and-rescue operations in areas hit by Israeli strikes, working to recover victims from damaged buildings and rubble.

The latest Israeli attacks have renewed concerns over the durability of the ceasefire and the protection of civilians in Gaza, where humanitarian conditions remain severely strained following years of Israeli genocide, mass displacement, and widespread destruction.
