Vice President of the Islamic Movement in the Occupied Territory, Sheikh Kamal Al-Khatib, said that the Israeli occupation authorities are pursuing him politically to prevent him from advocating for Palestinian people's causes.
Al-Khatib confirmed, after his release from the Afula police station in the occupied Territory, that the summons came after his statements on the issue of the increasing crime and violence in the Arab community.
"I confirmed my position will not change in advocating for my people's causes. We will not remain silent about defending our people," he said.
Since the beginning of the year, demonstrations have taken place in a number of Palestinian cities in the occupied Territory to denounce spread of murders and the complicity of the Israeli police.Source : Safa
