In narrow cells lack the simplest living requirements, Israel isolate 8 prisoners

The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Committee said that the Israeli prison administration has continued for months to isolate eight prisoners in Megiddo Prison in severe and harsh conditions.

The Committee confirmed on Monday in a statement reached Safa, that the the eight prisoners have been deprived of the family visits for months, some of them for years, and are languishing in narrow cells with rough walls, which lack of ventilation and lighting, and they have toilets with bad smell inside the cells, and are completely absent from the outside world.

The prison administration on January 21, 202 gave a number of the isolated prisoners the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and they will receive the second dose on 2/10/2021.

The commission called on the international human rights, the legal authorities, and the media institutions to shed light on the issue of the isolated prisoners and work to end their suffering as soon as possible.
