Dozens of Palestinians, including children, were suffocated with tear gas today, Friday, during the Israeli occupation army's suppression of the weekly anti-settlement rally of Kafr Qaddum.
The rally was launched to commemorate the Deir Yassin massacre carried out by the Irgun and Stern gangs against Palestinian people 73 years ago.
The media spokesman in the Qalqilya region, Murad Shteiwi, stated that the occupation soldiers attacked the participants in the protest by firing tear gas canisters, which led to dozens of suffocation injuries, among them children.
Shteiwi pointed out that the rally was launched in commemoration of the 73rd anniversary of the Deir Yassin massacre after Friday prayers from Omar bin Al-Khattab Mosque with the participation of hundreds of townspeople who demanded escalation of popular resistance to freedom and independence.
