Detainees and Ex-detainees Commission: most of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails are laborers

Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs Commission stated on Thursday that most of the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli prisons were laborers who sacrificed long years of their ages to defeat Israel.

The Commission said that most of the arrests implemented by the Israeli forces from 1967 until nowadays included laborers without regard to their hard social, living, and economic conditions.

Head of the Commission called on all the global and international labor unions to intervene and put pressure on the governments, parliaments, and organizations of human rights to force Israel to stop committing such crimes against the  Palestinians and save the laborers and their families from loss and damage.

He mentioned that the number of laborers getting arrested is increasing.

"Arrests did not only target those who resist the Israeli occupation but also affected thousands of laborers heading to their work under the pretext of not having permission to enter the occupied territories in 1948," he added.
