Israeli occupation forces detained 298 Palestinians across the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip in April, according to a statistical study prepared by the Jerusalem Center for Studies.
The Center stated that the detainees included 9 women, and 10 children, and four candidates for the Legislative Council elections, namely: Hassan al-Wardian and Najeh Asi, candidates for Hamas list, and they were transferred to administrative detention, in addition to the arrest of Ghada Abu Rabee, a candidate for Fatah movement and Zahir Kamil, the candidate of the Nabd Al-Balad list and both were later released.
The Center noted that the highest number of arrests in April was in Jerusalem, pointing out that the Israeli targeting concentrated in the center and south of the West Bank.
