46 governmental schools sustain damage so far due to Israeli aggression over Gaza

Gaza Ministry of Education confirmed that two of its buildings and 46 governmental schools sustained damage due to the ongoing Israeli aggression over Gaza.

"The affected schools were bombed directly and indirectly," the Ministry said to Safa.

It mentioned that bombing resulted in widows and doors broken, walls collapsed, school tools damaged and deep craters in the schools' yards.

The Ministry noted that the Gaza strip is already suffering from a lack of schools due to the blockade imposed on Gaza and the prevention of building materials to enter the strip.

"Targeting the schools is a systematic Israeli plan that aims to ending education and destroying the infrastructure. It is a crime the Israeli occupation commits as it violates all international laws and humans' right to education," the Ministry of Education said.

It also called on the international community, human rights organizations, and all institutes concerned about education like the UN, UNICEF, UNESCO, and JFA to condemn the Israeli aggression over the schools and educational constructions and to work on rebuilding the affected schools.
