Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political office of Hamas, and other leaders met Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, in Doha today.
A statement issued by Hamas said that Haniyeh expressed his appreciation for the supportive position of bin Hamad and the Qatari people for the Palestinians and their legislative rights.
Haniyeh thanked Qatar's diplomatic efforts which contributed to ending the Israeli attacks against the Palestinians and reaching a ceasefire.
He revied bin Hamad on the series of events which started by Israel's attacks against Al-Aqsa mosque, Jerusalemites, and Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
Bin Hamas confirmed its country's ongoing support for the Palestinians, their legal cause, and the importance of the Palestinians' unity to reach their legislative, national rights. Most importantly, their rights to establishing an independent state whose capital is Jerusalem.
They also discussed the latest developments in Jerusalem and the possible efforts to reconstruct Gaza.
